2. I’ll challenge you to try something
3. I’ll pick a colour that I associate with you
4. I’ll tell you something I like about you
5. I’ll tell you my first/clearest memory of you ( or, alternatively, I'll make one up. Tell me which you'd prefer. )
6. I’ll tell you what animal you remind me of
7. I’ll ask you something I’ve always wanted to ask you ( or, alternatively, I'll ask you a question addressed to a fictional character. Let me know your preference for this, too. )

Mont blanc cake... we shall see about that. Chestnut paste is horribly hard to get in Singapore (I don't even think I've seen it being sold here before), and those little glass bottles of chestnuts preserved in syrup are horribly expensive (although very tasty-looking). I -could- try making it sometime in the future; those Japanese recipes at cookpad seem easy enough though, with the main factor being time taken. Would uguisu mochi suffice as a horribly cheap substitute? XD

As for the interested in learning Japanese bit, the interest in Japanese came later; I just took it at first because it was the closest to Chinese, and theoretically the easiest language out of the 4 offered at the MOELC. And because I could.
During my first few months, I didn't have much interest in the language; I was struggling with hiragana, katakana, and basic grammar. Then it all clicked together after around 4 months or so, and that was when the love affair began. I still consider it one of the better decisions I've made in my life.

You need to have more faith in your proficiency in Jap, Janice. Really.
