hmm, didn't know they banned such works of art fic, considering the amount of other more-conventionally-structured dreck they allow but am afraid all the songs I know are too happy-clappy to be used for the fic I am accustomed to write, and the pieces that set the mood are mostly instrumental.
In any case, am largely eschewing the Pit of Voles nowadays, since my output is mostly crack and crossovers non-conventional in content.

There was quite some excitement when they banned songfics last year, but people are still posting as usual, as far as I can tell. Rules? What rules? Don't they call them guidelines? ^^ Expand your horizons! Write angst to happy clappy songs!

I've had two fics booted off ffnet with no lasting harm - three, actually, but the first was a long time ago and probably doesn't count against me any more.

Again, I must have missed that one since my Tactics 2nd-person POV ("one for sorrow, two for joy") is still there, AFAIK.
Seems rather arbitrary, though. (Off with her fic!)

I get some of mine from audiography or Yahoo!China, since most of the music I go for could be classified as "easy listening", "oldies", or "OST"

I could never watch the anime in its entirety, but some of the fic is rather entertaining even to my limited knowledge >_>
