it is a death eater, of course it's a lamp placed at ground level amidst some greenery/by the side of a footpath -- the light itself is white but illuminates the greenery to great effect, apparently!

o yes, we are in england after all Ah, I see that now! (There's a house in my neighborhood that puts up the most godawful pathway lights every Christmas that are about that shade of green, so initially I thought...).

(ahaha. i don't think i have ever seen a house bedecked with christmas decorations! maybe that is a good thing, i don't know.)
