(I had to look Tenma up *facepalm*) Probably anything by Oliver Sacks (http://www.oliversacks.com/) - maybe "Awakenings", or "An Anthropologist on Mars". Though the only neurosurgeon-author I know of is Gopal Baratham, so.
Poor Tatsu-nii, doomed to a life of servitude.
At least Odin wouldn't have the problem of a rebellious minion for once XD
